American Airlines boosts loyalty program benefits

Members of American Airlines' AAdvantage loyalty program will enjoy more benefits in the new year.

The benefits now include Avis and Hyatt hotel stays and the loyalty points needed to reach AAdvantage status will remain the same.

Members will have more reward choices at these loyalty point reward levels:

• 15,000: A collectible luggage tag personalized with your name.
• 100,000 and above: World of Hyatt status and free night awards.
• 175,000 and above: Support sustainable aviation fuel that can reduce carbon emissions compared to conventional jet fuel.

To reward the loyalty of most frequent fliers, the airline is adding new lifetime status levels starting March 1, 2025:

• Fly 4 million miles for lifetime AAdvantage Platinum Pro status.
• Fly 5 million miles for lifetime AAdvantage Executive Platinum status.

Starting in 2025, link your World of Hyatt and AAdvantage accounts to:

• Unlock World of Hyatt status and free night awards at several levels.
• Redeem miles for World of Hyatt free night awards.
