Blue Bottle brews up a new way to reward loyalty

Blue Bottle Coffee, a global provider in specialty coffee, has launched a rewards program that focuses on both treating yourself and showing some love to friends. Members may earn points on every purchase and have the option to gift a free drink to a friend for just 75 points — half the 150 points it takes to get one for themselves.

How it works

The program is managed through a redesigned mobile app. Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent. They can then redeem 150 points for a free drink for themselves or just 75 points to gift one to a friend.

In addition to the points, the program offers a few special perks:

• Surprise & Delight: Members will receive surprise perks throughout the year, such as complimentary drinks or special discounts.
• Morning Notes: The app delivers short, thoughtful messages to help members start their day on a positive note.
• Exclusive Access: Coming soon, members will get early access to new menu items and special offers.

Members can earn and redeem rewards whether they order ahead on the app or scan their barcode at a cafe register.
