Choice Privileges unveils major loyalty overhaul

Choice Privileges, a hotel rewards program for Choice's over 7,000 properties, is launching a a new experience in early 2026, designed to deliver more rewards more often and make Elite status easier to achieve. The revamp is rooted in extensive traveler research, focusing on flexibility and frequent recognition.

Changes for loyalty members

Choice Privileges is lowering the qualification thresholds for all existing Elite tiers by five nights, making status easier and faster to earn:

Gold Elite

• Requirement: Five nights (down from 10 nights ).
• Benefits: Room upgrades, preferred parking, and an Elite welcome gift.

Platinum Elite

• Requirement: 15 nights (down from 20 nights ).
• Benefits: Enhanced Gold benefits.

Diamond Elite

• Requirement: 35 nights (down from 40 nights ).
• Benefits: Enhanced Platinum benefits.

Introducing Titanium

The most significant addition is Titanium status, achievable at 55 nights or 110,000 Elite Qualifying Credits. This exclusive perk allows members to book one room for up to seven nights at 400-plus premium properties — including Cambria Hotels and Radisson Blu — for just half the points.

More frequent rewards

The program introduces ways to earn recognition before reaching the next status tier:

• Rewards every five nights: Members will receive a milestone reward (like bonus points or gift cards) for every five qualifying nights between status tiers.

• Return and earn: Earn 1,000 bonus points after your second and third qualifying stays each year.

Enhanced Flexibility and Value

• Easier status qualification: Members can earn status faster through hotel stays and by accumulating EQCs on everyday spending with the Choice Privileges Mastercard.
• Lasting recognition: Points will never expire for Elite status holders, and a status soft landing benefit (starting 2027) ensures members only drop a single tier per year.
• Points sharing: Later in 2026, members may transfer points to friends and family.
