Panera Bread bakes up limited time reward for grocery shoppers

Love those Panera Bread branded grocery items at Walmart, Kroger and Publix? You'll be rewarded for that love at least for a few months.

Panera Bread is offering a $5 gift card to loyalty members who spend $20 on Panera grocery brand items.

The Panera Grocery Rewards is a limited time rewards program — ending at the end of September and shoppers can earn just two gift cards between now and then.

Dont' throw the grocery receipt away — you'll need it to scan into the app to get the gift card.

The rewards program is all about getting Panera customers to purchase its packaged items — from mac and cheese to salad dressings to soup and flatbread pizza.

The café brand also recently launched another loyalty program perk for members — a three-month trial of Walmart+, Walmart's loyalty program that offers free delivery and shipping.
