PetSmart rewards adopters with top-tier loyalty status

PetSmart is elevating pet adopters to the highest tier of its Treats Rewards loyalty program, giving them VIPP (Very Important Pet Parent) status. The benefit is a way for the company to celebrate new pet parents and support them on their journey.

Now, anyone who adopts a pet at a PetSmart store through PetSmart Charities will automatically get VIPP status, which includes the following perks:

• 40% more points for every dollar spent.
• Double points on two separate shopping trips of their choice.
• Double points on donations to PetSmart Charities.
• A free VIPP holiday gift.
• Free shipping on select orders over $49.
• A free birthday or "Gotcha Day" gift for their pet.

On top of the VIPP status, new pet parents will also receive an Adoption Kit coupon book with up to $400 in savings to help them get essential supplies for their new family member.

This program highlights PetSmart's ongoing commitment to pet adoption. Since its founding, the company has never sold cats or dogs and has instead partnered with PetSmart Charities to facilitate over 11 million pet adoptions in its stores.
