Philz Coffee introduced its loyalty program called Philz Rewards. The program, is integrated into the existing Philz Coffee app, according to a press release.
The rewards system allows members to earn 10 points for every $1 spent, with 1,200 points redeemable for a free drink of their choice. New users receive a 150-point sign-up bonus and a drink upgrade.
Members may also receive a birthday treat and personalized offers. The app allows customers to send "positive vibe" emojis to their barista, whose name and photo appear with each order.
"For years, our customers have been asking for a loyalty program," Andy Mai, chief business officer Philz Coffee, said in the release. "We wanted to be thoughtful and take our time developing something that was authentically Philz."
The program is available at all of Philz's California and Chicago locations through the app or by checking in at the store. Philz Coffee has more than 75 locations in California and Chicago.
