Southwest launches new perks for Rapid Rewards Members!

By May 28, Southwest is rolling out new benefits for its Rapid Rewards credit card members, including:

• Seat selection power: Opportunity to select your seat, no matter which fare you purchase.
• Earlier boarding privileges.
• Free Bags: First checked bag flies free for up to eight additional passengers traveling on the same reservation.
• Continuing perks: Keep current benefits like discounts on inflight purchases, bonus points on your Cardmember anniversary and a one-time boost of 10,000 companion pass qualifying points each year.

For A-List and A-List Preferred Tier Members receive:

• Preferred Seating: Access to preferred seating options.
• Bags Fly Free for More: Free checked bags for up to eight additional passengers on the same reservation.
• Board Sooner: Earlier boarding.
