The University of Colorado is hoping to engage fans and generate revenue through a loyalty app called "Buffs Premier."
The platform and membership program are designed to connect with a broader segment of the Colorado fan base, according to Sports Business Journal. Unlike traditional booster club models that often target high-dollar donors, Buffs Premier offers tiered membership levels starting at $39.99 monthly, aiming to engage fans who may not contribute at the $5,000 or $10,000 levels.
The app-based program, owned and operated by the CU athletic department, offers various benefits depending on "Black," "Silver" or "Gold" membership tiers, featuring exclusive Colorado gear, content from athletes and coaches and special access to purchase tickets for select CU football home games and VIP experiences.
