Velvet Taco offering free tattoos to loyalty members

Velvet Taco is giving its loyalty members plenty of reasons to celebrate this National Taco Day.

The brand's "Velvet Room" rewards platform is at the heart of its holiday offerings, providing exclusive opportunities for its most devoted customers, from free food to a chance at a year's worth of tacos.

A Day of ink and tacos

On Tuesday, October 7, from 4 to 8 p.m., Velvet Taco is teaming up with Rebel Muse Tattoo for a live tattoo pop-up at its Greenville Avenue location in Dallas. The first person to get the Velvet Taco brooch logo tattooed will earn free tacos for an entire year through weekly Velvet Room rewards. For those not in Dallas, all Velvet Taco locations nationwide will be giving out temporary tattoos to celebrate the day.

Guest-created Japanese fusion taco

The festivities also include the debut of the Japanese Katsu Curry taco. This unique creation was the winning recipe from this year's annual WTF (Weekly Taco Feature) Recipe Contest, created by Velvet Room member Ryan from College Station. The taco features panko tenders, Japanese curry, pickled daikon and carrots, buttered cilantro basmati rice, pickled Fresno chiles, scallions and furikake.

Exclusive member rewards

Velvet Room loyalty members can also take part in the Taco Week Challenge from October 5 to 11. Members who purchase a taco during this period will get a free taco reward delivered to their account on Oct. 13, redeemable through Oct. 17.
